Four Year Career Management Plan
Provides your students with an easy to follow strategy of activities and programs to guide them through each year at City College from freshman to senior year. Click here to view the plan.
"Do What You Are"
Enables you to integrate career planning, major decision-making, and self-assessment with academic advisement. This is an excellent tool for your New Student Seminar, Freshman Orientation, or at risk students.
The Student Report provides you with: your student's personality profile; college experience satisfiers; how to communicate most effectively with the student; your student's strengths and blindspots; negotiating style; career satisfiers; preferred learning style; as well as recommended careers and majors.

FOCUS
Features self-assessment of skills, a tutorial for life-career planning strategies and hyperlinks to Internet data and information banks to search for jobs, graduate and professional schools, financial aid, scholarships, summer programs, fastest growing occupations, etc. This is a program that is geared to juniors and seniors.
Students must schedule an appointment.
Vault Online Career Library
An on-line resource for your students' recruiting and job search needs. Students have access to: Career Resource Guides; Employer Research; Career Articles; Industry Overviews; Occupational Profiles; and Message Boards.

"What Can I Do With This Major?"
Helps your students learn more about what they can do with their majors. This resource allows students to explore career opportunities for 60 different majors and provides advisors with information in chart form to respond to the frequently asked question "What can I do with my major?".
Each major is linked to industries, employers, and an education plan. Also included is a list of links to related Web sites, professional associations, The Occupational Outlook Handbook, and other career resources.

"The Perfect Interview"
A computer-based interviewing skills development tool that allows your students, by means of a digital video camera, to respond to the interviewer's questions, and to see how they look and sound during an interview.
The simulated interview offers students the opportunity to practice their responses until each answer is perfect.
Use of the Perfect Interview is by appointment only. Refer students to The Center to sign up.
Online Tutorials
Offer tips on resume writing, cover letters, and job search advice, including telephone etiquette, sample scripts, and interview questions.
Alumni Career Mentors Network
The CCNY Alumni Career Mentors Network is a program of alumni volunteers who serve as career advisors committed to helping students prepare for meaningful careers after graduation.
We believe that faculty and staff play a key role in influencing students’ decisions regarding majors and careers. It is our goal to provide you with the information, resources, and support so that your students can make informed career decisions.
